So many people have argued that Mr. Eazi and Runtown’s music sound alike, as they both have this “Ghana-Naija” infusion in almost all of their music.
Now, the thing is, Mr. Eazii is claiming ownership of the sound, and even in his latest interview with Capital Xtra in London, he claimed Nigerian Artistes are copying him. In his words:
I notice Runtown started using Ghanian terms when he did collabo with Sarkodie
“the speed at which I’ve moved is scary to me cause it took my contemporaries 5, 6 years. It’s like everybody just realized that yo what formula is Mr Eazi using…ok we’re gonna end up doing it’.Now, singer, runtown has replied him with a tweet that reads, ‘Bout to drop that new sound again and pls Don’t get mad when i finish what you think you started’.
